The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Notified the IFS 2013 Online Application Form for the Recruitment of the Indian Forest Service Officers. This IFS 2013 Examination date is 26 May 2013.

Now the Eligible Criteria for the Indian Forest Service Exam has been changed. The Criteria is as the Candidates first apply for the Civil Service Preliminary Examination 2013. After then when he/she qualified the exam then he/she will be eligible for the Indian Forest Service Examination.
Important Points to be Remember before Apply :
- Age : The Candidate is not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st August 2013. But the relaxation will be given to the ST/SC/OBC Candidates.
- Educational Qualification: The Candidates must having a Bachelor’s degree of any recognised university with at least one of the subjects listed below : Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry/Engineering Students may also apply.

The Candidates who are ready to apply for this they please count their attempts for this exam. The Attempts are given below according to the category i.e for general, OBC’s and ST/SC’s.
- (i) General Category – 4 attempts
- (ii) OBC – 7 attempts
- (iii) SC/ST – No limit
Application Fee:
The Candidates must pay for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination Rs.100/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit card.
For ST/SC/OBC/Women : No Fees (They apply free of cost.)
